Tom and Jerry in live-action film

No. Just... no. Stop it, now. Spectacularly awful idea.

It was bad enough that such a sadistic cartoon existed in the first place. Why the farg do they have to revisit it in -any- form??
dakegra From: dakegra Date: January 22nd, 2009 09:29 pm (UTC) (linky)
seriously? You didn't like the cartoon?
anonymous_greg From: anonymous_greg Date: January 22nd, 2009 09:41 pm (UTC) (linky)
Never. Pure sadism with no wit or other redeeming qualities.

I don't mind sadism in cartoons/children's fare, per se. But there has to be -something- else present, as well. I never saw anything in the T&J cartoons to enjoy.

Hey, AYMV. That's cool.

absolutely take your point, and the world would be a dull place if we all thought the same, etc etc.

I think that it's the first time I've ever spoken to anyone who didn't like Tom & Jerry. Actively, if you see what I mean.

Yeah, I actually cringe if I stumble across it. And change the channel as quickly as possible.

Thank you for adding that. I'd assumed you weren't trying to entrap me into some cockroach confession, but it's good to see it in writing.

*ahem*

As I started to say (before you edited your comment):

Case in point -- wit & charm in abundance! The Warner Bros. cartoons were, in great part, FULL of redeeming qualities. They weren't solely mean spirited things.

Of course they have already starred in a live action film....
OK OK they were just cameos but starred sounds so much better.

Lets hope nobody does.
