oh yes. Watched James & Oz's Big Beer Extravaganze (or whatever it is they're calling it)

new Resolution: Visit a beer festival this year. Possibly with some of you lot.

Mmm, beer.

Was it me, or did they get confused by referring to bits of Derbyshire as Yorkshire?

That beer run between the three stations, starting at Dewsbury, sounds like fun. Wonder if that line runs anywhere near Marsden (thinking of crash-space at the end of it)

I'm pretty sure New Prague, Minnesota does an Octoberfest!

I bet it doesn't end up in the UK.

Er, yes, it does run through Marsden. Not every train stops there, though.

Oz & James did a pub crawl by train - starting at The West Riding in Dewsbury Station, moving on to Huddersfield, finishing up at Stalybridge

about 22 minutes in, if you watch it on iPlayer...

I'm sure I could be persuaded...

my usual persuasion technique:

Oi, Rob. Fancy a pint?

I was thinking that when I watched the programme. As to cider, I know the Head of Steam in Hudds does Old Rosie, 'cos C. got kettled on a single pint of it once.

ooh, Old Rosie is yum.

went to a rather splendid on in Battersea, many many moons ago. Enormous fun.

Not sure how easy it'll be to get down to London for a beer festival, but will do my best. :-)

Come to the Catford beer festival, just down the road from me! (Just googled it and there wasn't one last year, but it should return in 2009.)

We drove through the Catford Big Roundaboutey Thing at christmas! Not far from K's sister's house.
