blimey, I'm very impressed with Shure's customer service. Emailed them to ask if the crackly earbuds are covered under warranty, and got an email back five minutes later asking me to give them a call.

Spoke to a nice lady there who said yes, the two year warranty would cover it, did I have proof of purchase?

I can print out the amazon order, but it was from September 2007

No problem, that's fine. Here's your return authorisation number, stick them in the post and we'll get a new pair out to you.
